We’re really excited to announce that we will be holding our next retreats in Costa Rica in the coming months and will be releasing the dates shortly.
Our retreat vacation this time is not only going to focus on losing weight and detoxing the body, but also understand how the mind is working. And how we can get more control of our minds so we can form the habits that make our long lasting health assured.
For many it has been the habits that have caused the excess weight in the first place and by replacing the habitual or emotional eating, removing the bad processed foods and other diet destroyers. And making a fresh start is the way to ensure long term weight loss success.
While we love it when our clients lose weight at our retreats. We know only too well that when weight comes off fast, the body will often respond by putting it back on fast, too.
That’s why we believe in long term health and wellness goals and plans. It’s great to lose some weight now yet it is far more important that you keep it off for good and continue on the path of health and happiness.
At the back of any success, whether it be a physical success with the body, a spiritual or mental success with the mind, or even a success in your career or relationships, there are always good habits behind them.
We are a firm believer in making habit changes because we have seen the incredible effects they have over the long term. When we first began running retreats almost a decade ago now, we did not truly understand how integral and really instrumental habit changes are. Especially when you look over the long term.
Wherever you may be on your journey of health and vitality, we believe it is crucial that you take the philosophy of habit changes to heart. And if you really think about it is clear.
What you do makes up what you are. And the shape your body is in relies specifically on this. So by making clear and consistent changes to your habits will result in significant and really monumental changes to your body — and your life! — over the long term.
Many of the “detox diets” and cleanses are really short term and actually can cause harm to the body. Yes you may lose some weight fast, but at what cost? There is a good article on NIH.gov about cleanses that you may want to read.
Especially when it comes to things like “toxins” we really don’t believe that this is the correct way of seeing things at all. To quote the article
There isn’t any convincing evidence that detox or cleansing programs actually remove toxins from your body or improve your health. Weight loss on a detox diet may be because these diets are often very low in calories.
“Toxins” is a word that gets thrown around a lot in the detox and cleanse world and while we believe taking time out for detox and recovery can be GREAT, we also recommend that you don’t succumb to scams or hype.
The human body is very well equipped at naturally detoxing itself. What we do is work with the body’s natural detoxification mechanisms, simply giving your body the rest, recovery and nutrition that it needs to detox itself naturally.
We believe that all healing comes from the body itself, we do. not heal the body, The body heals us.,
We simply set the stage and the perfect environment that allows healing to happen naturally, and in a very healthy way.
